eco-adventure lodge
isla bastimentos
Bocas del toro, panama
Our remote eco lodge offers guests the opportunity to truly get away.
ecotourism
We strive to be as low-impact as possible in an effort to conserve our natural world. From solar-powered cabins and rainwater catchment systems to our dedication to composting and recycling, every detail is designed to minimize impact. By embracing sustainability, we invite you to experience the beauty of Bocas del Toro while helping preserve it for future generations.
plaNet-friendly dining
Our menu is plant-focused, with the exception of fresh fish caught by local fisherman in the waters surrounding the property. Our cuisine is a blend of local ingredients, infused with global recipes, Panamanian flair, and indigenous inspiration. Guests enjoy three daily meals, an afternoon snack, and delicious three-course dinners. All meals are included with the stay.
community
We believe the most important tenet of ecotourism is having a positive impact on local communities. We have a special relationship with the nearby Ngäbe-Buglé indigenous village that exemplifies our partnership with the community. Every stay at Casa Cayuco helps us to support ongoing projects within the local village, Salt Creek.
Feel at home
Accommodations include Bungalows, Cabins, Lodge Suites, and a Villas.
Each offers a unique experience, whether nestled in the jungle, perched in the trees, adjoined to our main lodge, or overlooking the water. Designed in an open-air style, every space invites you to feel at one with nature, giving you the sense of being outside.
adventure
Explore the biodiversity of the Bocas del Toro archipelago on one of our guided excursions.
Our team of local, expert guides offer curated adventures, including snorkeling trips to Zapatillas Island, surfing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, birding, visits to monkey island, chocolate-farm tours, and more.
explore nature
Our Lodge is nestled between the jungle and the sea.
Just steps from the beach, and a ten-minute ride from Isla Zapatillas, we are one of the only resorts in the Bocas del Toro archipelago, that provides direct access to a calm and swimmable beach all year round.
There are also many hiking paths to explore on Bastimentos Island, including a jungle-trail which begins right from the lodge.
